CF flange uses metal sealing to achieve ultra-vacuum applications. Compared with other types of non-metallic sealing methods, its use time will be longer.

CF flange is genderless. The structure and specifications of the two connected flanges are the same, so there is no need to worry about their compatibility.

When the bolt is tightened, the metal washer forms an annular groove under the extrusion of the knife edge under the flange plane. The extruded metal fills small gaps in the flange surface, creating an ultra-high vacuum seal.

Due to the use of metal gaskets, CF flanges are more suitable for higher-temperature working applications.

Note that used metal washers cannot be reused.

CF flange sizes are in millimetres in Europe and Asia.

Its sizes range from CF10 to CF250. All sizes are CF10, CF16, CF25, CF40, CF50, CF63, CF75, CF100, CF125, CF160, CF200 and CF250. Among them, CF16, CF50, CF75 and CF125 are less common. CF flange sizes are in inches in the United States and range in size from 1 inch to 16.5 inches.

CF flanges are suitable for pressure ranges from atmospheric pressure to 1 × 10-12Torr or mbar, and temperature ranges from -196 to 450 degrees Celsius. The most commonly used materials for CF flanges are stainless steel 304 and 316L.

Of course, we also provide some other materials for customers to choose from.
