Inconel is a nickel-based alloy with excellent corrosion resistance to various corrosive media. Inconel bellows have excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance and long service life.
The yield strength of nickel alloy is much higher than that of various stainless steel sheets. The yield strength of Inconel 625 is 420MPa, while the yield strength of stainless steel 304 is 205MPa.
Inconel bellows forming requires more pressure than stainless steel. To reduce the forming pressure, the tube to form bellows will be subjected to solution treatment before forming step to reduce the yield strength of nickel alloy raw materials when producing small bellows.
