Edge Welded Metal Bellows

Edge Welded Metal Bellows

Edge welded metal bellows is a bellows formed by assembling several corrugated circular diaphragms by edge welding. Firstly, two diaphragms stamped from sheet metal are welded on the inner edges in concentric circles to form a diaphragm pair. Then several diaphragm pairs are stacked together for outer edge welding to form a corrugated section. Finally, connecting fittings are welded on both ends of the bellows to create an edge welded metal bellows assembly. Edge welded metal bellows are the same elastic sealing elements as flex bellows but are formed differently.

Types

size range

From DN7 to DN700.

The ratio of the inner and outer diameters of the edge welded bellows is about 1.2~3. For the formed bellows, the ratio of inner and outer diameters needs to be limited by the plasticity of the material so that it can be manageable, generally about 1.2~1.8. Compared with formed bellows, the axial stroke of edge welded bellows can reach up to 90% of the effective length.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we can make them to your exact needs.

Edge Welded bellows generally have a relatively large number of convolutions. The welding of the diaphragms is a big project. The typical lead time is about 30 days.

“Yes! The quality is excellent with the bellows and have had great feedback from our customers. We'll prepare the new order soon.”
